Law of Attraction Tools Part 6: Switchwords According To The Secret of Perfect Living

Imagine having “magic” words that you could use whenever you wanted to instantly change something that was causing you great havoc at the moment. Such words exist and they operate similar to twisting an Oreo cookie to clean up a room, like the commercial that was aired several years ago. In case you don’t remember the commercial, picture these “magic” words as tools that you can pull out at any time and literally “switch” what’s bothering you. You do nothing except throw the “switch” by saying the words, having the desire for the situation to change and begin to act intuitively as gently guided by pulses and instincts.

Does this sound too far fetched? Well it’s not, as years of research, testimonials and actual stories have been complied in the book written by James T. Mangan, The Secret of Perfect Living, published in 1963. The “advertising sales genius” spent half a decade figuring out this system that puts you in a place where you can stop what you’re doing and bring in harmony the forces within us that are always at odds and in conflict with one another. These two innate forces are the conscious and subconscious mind.

Mr. Mangan discovered the distinct differences, roles and strengths of both aspects of the mind and determined that one always seeks to override the other and vice versa, which causes a great tug of war in each person. This tug of war minimizes productivity, happiness and potential. The discourse is evident in relationships, decision making, acquiring certain postures, dealing with situations that cause anxiety, developing your memory, dispelling fear and others’ negative perceptions of you. The list is endless as to what these “magic switches” can do for you.

I decided to test a few of these words out on myself just to see if I could witness any results. To my surprise all three of the words that I tried worked every time! Two of the words (“CHANGE,” to rid yourself of pain and “HO” to sigh and relax) required more practice because I later realized that I was holding onto some disbelief of whether or not it would work. Instead of leaving instantly, headache pain would last for around 30 or so minutes after throwing the CHANGE switch, and I would yawn instead of sighing when I threw the switch HO. Nonetheless, one of the words worked 100% of the time. This switchword is “REACH.”

The word REACH is used to align the conscious and subconscious mind to help you find items that you may have misplaced or lost. This word is especially helpful when you’re running behind schedule and need to get out of the door quickly, but don’t remember where you put your keys. Not only have I recovered keys, but I’ve been able to quickly put my hands on misplaced money, receipts, purses, art and teaching supplies, and other important documents.

I specifically remember one instance where I couldn’t find my wallet. I thought I had left it in the car, which I never do, but on this particular day, because I couldn’t find it anywhere in the house at first, I was convinced I had left it in the car. I was rushing and needed to find it quickly. When I felt myself getting anxious and really concerned, I remembered to say REACH. Immediately, I turned around and started heading back toward my bedroom. I was saying out loud, “I don’t know why I’m going this way. I could swear that I left my wallet in the car. I have a feeling that it’s outside…” I continued walking toward my bedroom (it was as if my body knew the right way to go even though my conscious mind was focused on going out to the car). I get to my bedroom door and happen to glance behind the pillows, to spot the edge of my wallet peeking from behind the pillows that had accidentally fallen on the wallet. I was amazed. My subconscious self knew all along, but my conscious mind was noisy and too busy. The switch REACH brought everything together as needed, so even though my mind was still loud, the stronger and more perfect subconscious mind was empowered with the word and able to lead me to what I needed to find without any more wasted time.

I highly recommend that you get a copy of The Secret of Perfect Living, as it will give a whole new meaning to and purpose for vocabulary.
